چکیده
Abstract Background Many hypotheses were raised regarding a role of nutrition in COVID-19 (susceptibility to infection, disease severity) based on the importance macronutrients, vitamins or minerals for proper functioning immune system. Our objective was study associations between dietary intakes and seroprevalence SARS-CoV-2 infection large population-based sample. Methods analyses included 7766 adults from French NutriNet-Santé cohort who provided at least 6 valid 24h records two years preceding start pandemic France (February 2020). An ELISA assay used detect anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies: 311 participants positive 7455, negative. Associations antibodies investigated using multi-adjusted logistic regressions. Results A lower associated higher vitamin B9 (HR = 0.84 (0.72-0.98)), C 0.85 (0.75-0.97)), K 0.86 (0.74-0.99)), fibres (0.72-0.97)), fruit vegetables (0.74-0.97)). Higher calcium 1.17 (1.01-1.35)) dairy products 1.19 (1.06-1.33)) infection. No association observed with other food groups nutrients overall diet. Conclusions Based exhaustive data sample, our results suggested that C, folates, K, susceptibility Key messages assessed data. Beyond its established prevention non-communicable diseases, could also contribute prevent some infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

متن کاملSARS-CoV-2 infection: its psychiatric manifestations
Background: The clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection was initially dominated by respiratory symptoms. However the clinical spectrum is wide and neuropsychiatric syndromes are also a source of medical concern. Our aims are to present an atypical clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection characterized by auditory hallucinations and unusual behavior and to emphasize the diversity of ...
متن کاملThe SARS-CoV ferret model in an infection-challenge study.
Phase I human clinical studies involving therapeutics for emerging and biodefense pathogens with low incidence, such as the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV), requires at a minimum preclinical evaluation of efficacy in two well-characterized and robust animal models. Thus, a ferret SARS-CoV model was evaluated over a period of 58 days following extensive optimization and ...
متن کاملThe effect of SARS-COV-2 infection on the hematological markers
Background and Aim: The novel coronavirus 2019 can lead to a vast range of respiratory complications, from mild to severe, driving to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Common symptoms of Covid-19 include fever, fatigue, and dry cough, which can lead to complications, such as gastrointestinal disorders, and liver, cardiac, and renal dysfunctions. Alteration in the hematological markers...
متن کاملWhole-inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccines: from fear to hope
Undoubtedly, vaccination can be one of the promising approaches to control infectious diseases such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Inactivated viral vaccines have a history of "vaccine-induced enhanced disease", which may occur when neutralizing antibodies bind to viral antigens without blocking or clearing the infection. This can cause additional inflammation through the mechanisms described for ot...
